Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day – April 2018

15th April 2018

Last year I really enjoyed joining Carol at May Dreams Gardens for her Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Days – a monthly blog link party, designed for sharing photos of what is blooming in your garden. I was delighted this morning when I read her latest installment and so I decided to join in.

My garden is in the South West of England near the city of Bath. Spring seems to have taken its time to arrive this year with lots of cold weather and two bouts of snow in March but things are finally starting to warm up.

Here is a little peek at what is currently blooming in my little garden.

Daffodil – really unusual and haven’t seen one like this before
Double and Triple Headed White Narcissi
My little garden helper asked me to take his photo
Narcissi – first of this variety to bloom
Stunning pink tulip
Snake Head Fritillary
Oh how I love a traditional daffodil (although these are a little nibbled)
Wild Plum Blossom

Anyone reading this with an interest in gardening might like to take a look at my 2018 personal project, A Year of Bringing Nature Inside.  Each week throughout 2018 I am making a natural arrangement from homegrown, gathered and foraged materials and posting them to Instagram using the #ayearofbringingnatureinside hashtag.  I am also encouraging others to join in!
