One of my favourite things to make is a baby quilt. Over the past six years I have made lots of them for nieces and nephews, the babies of friends, poorly babies in my local hospital – and for my own son, of course! Unsurprisingly I’ve made a selection of quilts for him, but my favourite has been used so frequently and for a variety of uses – from a play mat to a buggy cover – and when he was a sicky baby I took it everywhere with me to protect the sofas and carpets of the people we visited.
I always make my quilts with good quality cotton, which means they wash and wash and stay in great shape. 3.5 years later my son still sits on the sofa under the same quilt, which makes me heart melt!
I recently designed a baby quilt pattern and am very pleased to now have this for sale as a PDF on my etsy shop. It is the perfect pattern for beginners and also more experienced quilters who want to whip up a quick quilty gift after a small person arrives.
I hope you enjoy this pattern. To be in with a chance of winning a free copy please leave a comment below. Entries close on Friday 27 April 2018 at 8pm and one winner will be drawn at random.
