With Christmas on the horizon I keep thinking about wreaths and table decorations. Not quite yet ready to embrace the full Christmas spirit, I decided to come up with a wintery table arrangement to tide me over until December. So, for week 47 of #ayearofbringingnatureinside I pulled out a beautiful candle from Cadeaux and Co and hunted around for something to go with it. I often collect pinecones with my four-year-old to add to our fire so I decided to pull a handful of those together to go with the candle (thanks to Pinterest for the inspiration).
When looking for a plate to display them on I felt uninspired, despite owning a large selection of vintage china. So I decided to think a little outside of the box and came up with using a beautiful vintage glass cake stand. I picked it up at a flea market a few years ago and usually find it a little too small for cakes, so I am pleased to have put it to use.
I love the finished look and this will definitely be staying on my dining room table until I am ready to add a Christmas display.
