Last time I involved my little man in my challenge he did such a great job – so I decided to get him involved again for week 46 of #ayearofbringingnatureinside
My four year old goes to a lovely music class with his Nanny once a week and often has small tasks to do at home. This week was to make a picture using leaves. I consulted Pinterest for some different ideas and saw various people making portraits with leaves. So, in wanting to get him to help with this challenge and do his “homework”, I decided to set about creating a portrait of me with him. I drew a basic face and let him get to work with colouring it in. We then hit the garden and collected some beautiful leaves including my much-loved acers. He then glued them into place to create my hair.
Not entirely sure how much it looks like me (maybe blame my drawing for that!) but he loved this activity and it is now hanging in our kitchen. Typically he isn’t very into craft so it was lovely to be able to do this project together.
