I am a bit late posting week 38 of #ayearofbringingnatureinside as we welcomed a new addition to our family last weekend. Freddie joined us a little earlier than planned but all of well and we are enjoying being a family of 4!
So with his arrival I decided to hit the easy button and I am sharing some dried allium heads from my garden. Back on week 23 of #ayearofbringingnatureinside I shared the beautiful fresh alliums. These seed heads dried naturally in the garden throughout the hot summer and I harvested them a few weeks ago to finish off in the kitchen.
They are currently adorning my mantelpiece in a beautiful modern glass bottle that my hubby bought as a gift for me earlier in the year.
I do enjoy growing flowers and always think it is such a bonus when I get to dry them to bring into the house over the winter. Some of my favourites for drying include lavender, nigella and of course alliums.
If you would like to share what is blooming in your garden or what you have dried from earlier harvests head over to Instagram and don’t forget to use the hashtag #ayearofbringingnatureinside
