A Year of Bringing Nature Inside – 30/52

26th July 2018

It feels at the moment that I am only posting flower related things. I promise I am sewing (although not as much as I would like) but am currently trying to make a head start on Christmas gifts ahead of the arrival of our second baby. And of course I can’t share those projects!

For week 30 of #ayearofbringingnatureinside I am sharing some beautiful climbing roses. I have to confess I know very little about roses and growing them but these beauties were hanging over my parents’ fence from a neighbour’s garden so I couldn’t resist taking a few to display in a vintage glass bottle (used to hold flowers at our wedding!).

My only experience of growing roses to date is the cheap ones offered in the supermarkets. They really annoy me as I often find they aren’t the colour you were expecting so I keep promising myself I will invest in a good quality rose one day.

Do share any recommendations for good quality rose suppliers and great varieties to try! Also if you would like to share what is blooming in your garden head over to Instagram and don’t forget to use the hashtag #ayearofbringingnatureinside
