When I was a child my granddad sent away a coupon from a newspaper for a free Acer to give to my Mum. We all laughed a lot when that Acer turned up and it was nothing more than a twig. But, my mum not wanting to disappoint her dad, planted that twig in her garden and twenty years later it is a beautiful large tree with the most gorgeous red leaves.
That tree is certainly very special to us all and is my favourite part of my parent’s garden. However, in a couple of places it was getting a little unruly so my mum carefully pruned a few twigs and kindly gave them to me for week 21 of #ayearofbringingnatureinside
The Acer looked wonderful in my living room this week, sat in a beautiful glass bottle that my hubby bought for me at Valentine’s this year.
