A Year of Bringing Nature Inside – 15/52

12th April 2018

Last week I was listening to the Hashtag Authentic Podcast where @me_and_orla was interviewing @bookishbronte about her Instagram style, which involves books, lots of books. It was, as always, a great podcast and got me thinking about using a gardening book in one of my #ayearofbringingnatureinside photos.

A quick look on my bookshelf and I found a beautiful copy of the Reader’s Digest Encyclopedia of Garden Plants and Flowers. I bought this in a charity sale years ago and the dust cover was missing, but it has a beautiful gold design embossed on the cover.

Finally, spring seems to have arrived in our garden so I managed to pick a lovely selection of spring blooms to create my arrangement – tulips, narcissi and snake’s head fritillary. Oh, I am so happy to finally have a selection of flowers in the garden!

This week the lovely Emma also shared a beautiful spring arrangement from her garden.  I love it when others participate in my little challenge.

If you would like to share what is blooming in your garden please tag photos on Instagram with #ayearofbringingnatureinside or email them to me to share on this blog.
