Yay I made it a quarter of the way through my 2018 project #ayearofbringingnatureinside – a personal challenge to make an arrangement each week from natural materials that have been homegrown, gathered or foraged. Part of this challenge is also to reduce the amount of commercial flowers I buy as they are often sprayed with nasty chemicals and have travelled for many miles. I am certainly missing flowers in my home but am very hopeful that soon I will be making regular pickings from my own garden.
On week 13 I am actually on holiday in Dorset. So I packed a couple of small vases and have been out on a nature walk with my family. I managed to forage some different blossoms and really love the look that they created. Displaying them for a photo in a caravan has been a little tricky but hopefully I found a spot that didn’t look too bad!
I am also super pleased that Emma Macnair joined in this week and shared her lovely arrangement of hellebores. I used to have lots of these in my last house but haven’t yet put any in my new garden. Her beautiful photo reminds me that I must address this soon! Thanks for taking part Emma.
